Andrew, is a lifelong creative, equally at home doing visual, movement and music arts, old school style, here on Camano (Art) Island. He's the creator of Full Circle Arts: A Creative Solutions Studio, a creative fitness practice that helps people develop creativity, confidence, wellness, and resilience through integrated experiences in movement, music, and visual art. Through the Creativity Fitness Method™, participants learn to move beyond self-consciousness, engage fully in the creative process, and discover new ways of responding to life’s challenges. Andrew contracts with local arts and homeschool organizations to bring arts instruction to everyone. He's currently doing a bunch of printmaking, teaching music to some great folks and organizing “Flow” classes, which I call “Tracing the Lotus: The Felt Moment Of Immediate Experience.” Participants go from ordinary experiences to … something else, something quite unexpected! I have always had a talent for creating beauty through different arts. A self taught watercolorist, I began seriously painting with watercolor in 2016 after years of exploring various mediums. Watercolor is my love language. It fascinates me with the unpredictable dance of pigment and water while experiencing a chase with light across the paper, letting every stroke amaze me by telling its own wild story. I grew up on a farm in Oregon, one of five kids. I raised my three kids in Bend, Oregon, where I owned and operated an art sale company, creating and selling my art in wood, acrylics, and jewelry. I have also enjoyed working with wool felting, pebble art, resin art and more. I spent my career first as a sign language interpreter, then thirty years as a drug and alcohol specialist, working with individuals and family counseling. I retired in 2015. And thus began my love with watercolor! I moved to Skagit Valley in 2021 to be near my kids, ad I started teaching watercolor and participating in art shows. Enjoying the beauty of the outdoors in this wonderful area inspires my art.
