Holiday Open House & Student Art Show
About
Join us at The Floyd in Stanwood for an evening honoring young artists, community partnerships, and the power of arts education. The evening is free and everyone is welcome.
Student work from this fall's Afternoon of the Arts program will be on display throughout the evening, staged on panels so young artists can show their pieces the way any exhibiting artist would. There will be hors d'oeuvres, drinks and refreshments, a hands-on art activity, and handmade holiday ornaments and cards available to buy.
An update on the building and the campaign
Board President Carm Pierce and other board members will share where the Meyer Art Center project stands: the building, what comes next, and how far the capital campaign has come toward its $13 million goal.
The evening
- 5:30 PM - Welcome and open house
- 6:00 PM - Celebrating our young artists
- 6:20 PM - Art in our community, with the City of Stanwood
- 6:30 PM - Artist spotlight: Shogo Ota
- 6:45 PM - Creating opportunities through art
- 7:00 PM - Celebrate and connect
- 8:00 PM - Closing
Help us reach our $50,000 goal
Meyer Art Center board members have committed more than $25,000 in matching funds, so gifts made that evening are matched while those funds last. A Fund-a-Need appeal will be part of the program.
