Family Art Night @ Stanwood Library

Explore, learn about, and sketch Seattle's best known market. We'll spendtime in and outside several buildings in Pike Place, walking through thehidden passages and capturing market scenes in our sketchbooks.Instructor will give light instruction and demos on the following topics:

• How to capture people in scenes
• Using a limited palette (markers)
• Starting a sketch with watercolor
• Perspective basics
• Showing depth

This class isfor young artists who already have the foundations of drawing, who want topractice sketching from observation. Students should be comfortablewalking through and standing around busy areas—though we try our best tofind out-of-the-way places to draw.
